About Me
Hi I am Helen Mansfield, south Cambridgeshire photographer, originally from Bermuda (a tiny dot in in the Atlantic)! I have extensive experience of photography, art and the arts, which I use to influence my style of photography, I come from a long line of working artists and have creativity running through my DNA. Not to mention that I am also a mum, wife, home educator and have a passion for travel and the outdoors which influences my outlook on how I shoot photographs.
I have transitioned my skills and passion for photography into a business that gives me the huge privilege of sharing special times in my clients lives to create wonderful memories.
Creating special moments and working closely with my clients to bring their visions to life through my style of photography brings me great pleasure and joy.
I like to utilise nature as a backdrop, blending the stunning landscapes of our scenic county into each shot and framing the portraits I take with real life surroundings to enhance my images. Using the rolling fields and romantic woods to the vibrant wildflowers of spring and the icy allure of winter, each season provides a unique canvas that elevates the pictures that I take and ensure that the images have natural feel to them. I find it also helps to relax my customers and helps me get the shots which are not obtainable in a studio setting.
In contrast to family and portrait location sessions, one of my favourite aspects of photography is the privilege of capturing newborns with their parents and siblings. These intimate sessions during the first few weeks and months offer a precious opportunity to document the incredible early moments of a newborn's life. These shots not only capture the beauty and emotion of this special time but also create lasting memories for families to cherish and I find them a real treat to do.
Then away from the camera and onto the screen, editing images is the other part of my role as a photographer. Working to enhance and perfect the pictures on screen and present my clients with beautifully constructed images is an opportunity to scrutinise every aspect of our session and perfect the final images so that my customers are blown away by the finished product.

Capturing the essence of childhood, the joy,
enthusiasm and laughter in natural settings allows me to truly represent your childs personality in my photography. Helping them to feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera is an area that I feel is very important on these sessions in order to gain great images. To make it fun and free creates not just wonderful photographs but also memorable days which play a part in the whole experience.

Treating your family
to a photography season is not just fun, it is chance to bond and enjoy time together and make memories. Taking the opportunity to share a day together and allowing me to photograph the love and fun between a family is a real privilege that I find so enjoyable and rewarding. So whether you are want to remember those early years with your children or they are all grown up or you are newly engaged and for those just starting the journey of family life, recently engaged or celebrating an anniversary I can tailor the session to your specific requirements.

Newborn & pregnancy
My personal favourite is to take pictures of newborn babies and the special moments between them and their parents and siblings. At such a special time the emotion and love is in such abundance that taking these pictures is wonderful for me to be a part of, helping to preserve the early days, weeks and months is a part of my work that I am extremely passionate about. Or if your little one is still on their way why not get them "camera ready" a little bit earlier! Bump shots are a great way to remember this brief but incredible time so please feel free to request this type of session.
