Please read below the useful information about the shoot, preparing for the day, my studio set up, packages, terms of business and FAQ's.
Hopefully this will answer any questions you may have. However I am only an email or a phone call away to discuss with you any aspects of your photography session, requests that you may have or ideas for the shoot that you wish to run through.
Booking your photoshoot
Congratulations! You have booked your session, so what happens next?
We will have a conversation about the type of photographs that you want to achieve, the locations we can use to realise the vision you have for your photographs and who is featuring in your session. The location options that we have and we will discuss other important facts on how to prepare for the day includes suggestions of what to wear, styles and hair choices to ensure we get the best photos.
The
vision
I like to know the reason why you have chosen to have a photography shoot and understand your aspirations behind the vision. This help me to understand how best to advise you on many aspects of the session to make sure you have a wonderful day and fantastic pictures.
Location
For newborn photography I do these at my home studio or I can come to visit you, we can decide this once the little one has arrived!
Family shoots, childrens portraits and couples session are done on location and arranged to suit the season and utilising the best venues throughout the year! I can also do these at my home studio or visit your home too if you prefer a more neutral backdrop, but I find getting out and about evokes a more playful atmosphere.
The People
During our early consultations I find it really useful to have the names and a picture of everyone featuring in your photoshoot. This especially helps me with younger ones and creating a connection faster and hopefully reduces shyness, which in turn helps me get them at their best!
Styling
If you feel you best you will look your best! Styling can make or break a photography session. I will help you put together the perfect look for your shoot, including: What to wear from patterns or not, colours that work and suit the locations and how to collaborate outfits for everyone in the shoot to avoid clashing with each other! I can also advise on hair styles that can work best with specific shoots to ensure you all feel and look your best for the day!
Packages
You may have been undecided as to which package to choose, but don't worry I take lots of photos to allow me a great selection to choose from and present back to you after the shoot, so you can decide your package at any time. You can even buy them afterwards, individually or in bundles. The packages have been created to give a choice and range to suit all budgets and requirements, they allow me the time to fully edit the gallery that offer back for final selection and can be increased so that if you want every image from the gallery your more than welcome to order them!
My only requirement is that the minimum packages are the smallest bundles that I offer, however if by prior arrangement (at the time of booking) you discuss just having one or two photos from the session I can provide a quote accordingly and based on the individual requirements. If the session takes place and you require less than the smallest package offered there is a minimum charge which I have provided more details on in the "useful information" page.
The day
On the day I like to spend some time getting to know everyone and taking the time to build trust with the children allowing them a chance to get accustomed to me. We will have a recap on the shots that you would like, assess the location (if we are not in my studio) and focus on creating those picture perfect moments!
Timings
For personal photographs You can expect your shoot to last approximately 1 to 2 hours and sometimes longer. I don't like to rush the session as my main focus is on achieving the highest standards of photography, therefore if we have to have a break for the weather or to get better light then thats no problem. And if the weather completely takes a really bad turn we will reschedule for another day.
For business session I offer 3 types of shoots that range from a qtr, half and full day options as a guide, but we can discuss specific requirements and tailor packages to suit your individual needs.

Terms of business
Please read below the terms of business that I operate within, if anything is unclear please do contact me to discuss prior to booking a session and we can talk through the specifics in greater detail.
Booking and payment
The booking fee is required for securing your photo
session and is payable within 48hrs of the booking
being made and is in addition to the package fee. The booking fee is none refundable.
Packages
When The pictures are shortlisted and I have created the first look gallery of unedited images this is the time to choose your package. At this stage I ask you to confirm which package you would like to select and I will raise an invoice. Once this has been paid you will be supplied an electronic link to download your images for storage and use.
Additional images are available to
purchase on top of the packages - each additional image its £35.00 or bundles of 3 that are added to the superior packages are charged at £95.00 - this incudes editing and supplying as hi-resolution files.
Sessions below the minimum package rate
If you require a shoot below the minimum package offer please discuss this during the booking process and I can quote a package based on your specific requirements and schedule to the session accordingly.
If you have scheduled photography session without informing me that you require a package below my minimum packages that I offer and only want one or two images from the session there is a flat fee of £200.00 which will cover my costs for the photography session and the editing process that I will have produced on the gallery.
Images supplied
Images from the shoot will be selected by me to
provide a range of images which I believe are the best selection from the day and great, suitable candidates for editing and finalisation. The gallery of images will be sent to you fully edited allowing you the opportunity to see the pictures that you will be able to buy and have supplied as hi-resolution finished files.
The first look gallery selection will take approximately
approximately 3 weeks to return to you, please choose the images and send me back the
chosen picture reference along with the package that you would like to purchase.. I will then raise the invoice and once payment is recieved I will remove the watermarks from the image and send hi-resolution files which I will
supply back to you via an image transfer site for you
to store and use as you wish. This final edit will
take approximately 1 week to return back.
Cancelations and rebooking
Cancelations can must be made at least 72hrs before the shoot time. The refund will payable to
the sum of 50% of the booking fee. Cancelation
made within 72hrs of the photoshoot will not
be eligible for a refund.
If you need to move your photoshoot please contact me to rearrange your session - any amends within 24hrs will incur a 50% additional booking fee.
Bad weather
If we are due to shoot outside and the weather is not looking favourable I will give you the opportunity to change the date to give you the best possible session and there is no charge or additional fees required.
Property rights and storage
All images remain my property and are not be used without them being purchased. Images will only be supplied for use once agreed, edited and paid for. Using images that have not been paid for and released or removing the watermark
impression for any us publicly or privately may result in legal action. I reserve the rights to use any of the images that I take on all social media platforms and on my website.
Storage of the images - I will store the images from our session for 6 months and the fully edited images for 12 months from the date of our session. During this time you may wish to purchase additional images which is completely fine, they will be in storage and the fees above apply for additional images.
If a package or images has not been selected or purchased I will remove them from storage after 6 months from the date of the first look gallery being sent.
Please note with the exception of the newborn My photography sessions are based on shooting on location.
*Entrance fees to locations will be added to the quote if required.
**For distances beyond 25 mile radius from my studio travel costs may apply and will be quoted at the time of enquiry.
Booking your photoshoot is in agreement to
the above terms and conditions.
